Sleep, Stress and Tension

It is not possible to sleep well with tension in one's body and mind. Sleep is all about relaxation, taking all pressure from the system and in this way let the unimpeded flowing energy streams do their restorative work.

6. Laziness Impedes Sleep

The lazy individual loses sleep in two ways. He thinks about the opportunities he has missed, and is missing, owing to his laziness. He also spends time in thinking of ways and means whereby he can avoid doing things he should be doing.

It has often been thought that a lazy person sleeps more than he should, because he is lazy. He can ordinarily drop into sleep at times when he should be occupied, but he stays awake when he should be sleeping, because he feels guilty about his apathy toward work.

Solution: There is no such thing as physical laziness. All laziness is mental. When we dread doing a certain type of work, it is because we are not interested in it. It bores us.

Many times "laziness" is misunderstood. It is seen as a character trait of a deliberate "good for nothing" type of person. But often the most ambitious seem to flee work, not out of laziness, but because of fear of failure, being stuck by the heavy pressure they are putting on themselves.

This is the reason, why this so called laziness cannot be effectively overcome just by trying harder. In fact, this approach will probably make it worse. Reasons for avoiding and postponing certain tasks and work include...

  • perfectionism

  • not knowing (or daring to know) what one really wants to do, be and have

  • a general feeling of senselessness

"The Passion Test made an amazing difference in my life. After completing it I was so clear on what I really wanted in my life. Since doing The Passion Test, I now live the life of my dreams and I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to live their life to the fullest, by living and becoming their passions."

Rhonda Byrne, Executive Producer and Author of the mega-bestselling movie and book, "The Secret".

As I have said, these problems cannot be solved simply by trying harder, because that will just increase the pressure level and plunge the afflicted into more stress, tension and anxiety. The real underlying issue usually is one of low self esteem and being too much dependent on the opinion and approval of others. Here are some questions for you:

  • Have you been afraid to do something because you felt that it was just too advanced for you?

  • Do you often downplay something important that you have done?

  • Have you not asked someone on a date because you felt they were "too good looking" or "out of your league"?

  • Have you found yourself taking a critical comment to heart only to find out you were misinterpreting what was being said?

The Sedona Method will not only improve your sleep. It is the perfect personal development tool. It will help you to overcome any sort of low self esteem and free yourself from being overly dependent on what others think, feel and say about you. You will discover your own innate self worth and increase your personal freedom a thousand fold. The home study course is now available in a new and improved version.

This amazing method, validated by Harvard Medical School, will help you tremendously to take the pressure and stress out of your life.

And, by the way...

What do you really want to do instead of having to do it?
