Your Self Esteem was Created Along with You
It is inseparable from yourself like water cannot be separated from being liquid or sugar cannot be separated from its sweetness. That knowledge is essential for your personal develoment.
Then, why could anyone look for self esteem? The answer is obvious: “Because she or he exists”. Existence IS self esteem, because everybody, who exists, is existing in his own right and beauty. If self esteem would not be the natural companion of a human being, why would we be so eager to find it? We usually are searching for something that we have lost. Nobody will ever search for something that he has never possessed or never heard of. Self esteem is our birthright, but we are searching in the wrong place.
The Curse of Competition
All lack of self esteem is caused by denying one’s original identity. Originally we are spiritual persons with the spiritual qualities of independence, love, freedom, courage, power, tolerance, steadiness and so on. But when we decide to enter a world of material competition we loose access to this spiritual qualities.
The main concept of material consciousness is: “I want to be better.” There is actually no room for this concept in reality, because in fact everyone is the best. You are better, the more you understand that everyone is better. In a society based on the Darwinian concept of the survival of the fittest everybody has to fight for his right to live. But in a spiritual society there is no such struggle, because there the right to live is not separable from life itself. The fact that you are alive carries with it the absolute and irrefutable license to live. You don’t have to be better than anyone else. You just have to be yourself.
I will repeat this last sentence once again, because it is of prime importance: You don’t have to be better than anyone else to guarantee your right to live. You just have to be yourself.
Everyone of us has her or his unique personality. No one can replace anybody else. Your contribution to society and to the whole of reality cannot be made by someone else. You are not replaceable. This concept differs from the material concept. If you work in a company and get fired, someone else will fill your space. You will be replaced. That is possible because this kind of work is simply an external stereotype. But no one can replace you in the realm of reality, because you are unique. There is no second person who could possibly contribute to the symphony of reality as you can. The world needs you as much as it needs everybody else. Everyone has the right to live and to develop her or his potential.
